Mixolis Press Pics

Mixolis, a Zimbabwean-born DJ based in London, specializes in the afro-house and amapiano scene both locally and on the global stage. He's renowned for his SONKE parties, Jika, and Mixolis Projeckt label in the local scene.

Recently, Mixolis approached me to revamp his image, including new press shots, a refreshed website, and fresh artwork for one of his club nights. Below, you'll find the concept development, behind-the-scenes insights, and the final project delivery. To enhance the aesthetic and wardrobe, I collaborated with stylist and influencer Dianah Gwendu. Check out her profile and some of her work here.

The core of this was the new press pictures. Mixolis, Dianah the stylist and I had a meeting to discuss the project scope. Following that moodboard above was the result. I chose to have the shoot at Too Young Too Simple due to location and the kit inlcuded with your hire. Boa, is a top guy and made us feel at home. Highly recommend hiring his studio.
